Kids microscopes have come a long way!

Many of us remember the cheesy plastic microscopes from our childhood. They may have had up to 40X magnification that was blurry even if the mirror were set just right to let the light through. Then our brother or sister would bumb the table and we would have to start all over.  Those days are gone.  Well, not exactly, there are a number of very cheap plastic scopes for sale (not here!) that really aren't much better than those from 20 years ago. Our children can have the type of experience that we might have been able to have for just a few minutes in a good high school or college lab.
